On Friday 3rd March the Le Quesne Law Society was honoured to host Noor Kadhim at Regent’s Park College.

Noor spoke on the topic of arbitration of human rights and public interest issues in investment disputes, which is a very topical issue. She focused on the recent case of Urbaser v Argentina which was the first ever in which a state raised a counter-claim against an investor for human rights breaches.

Noor is an English-trained solicitor who specialises in international arbitration, and art and cultural heritage law. She has practised in London, Paris, and the United Arab Emirates. She has also presented and published widely in relation to arbitration and cultural heritage-related issues.
